What's In New Youtube Update
YouTube has introduced a wide range of new features and design enhancements, amounting to approximately 36 in total.
These updates apply to the web application, smartphone app, and smart TVs, collectively enhancing the user experience.

One notable addition is the streamlined video playback acceleration feature, ideal for those who prefer shorter podcast clips. Users can now easily double the playback speed by pressing and holding their finger on the video. This feature is accessible on web browsers, tablets, and mobile devices.
Among the updates, the long-awaited lock screen feature has arrived. It prevents accidental screen touches during video playback, which is particularly handy for those on the go or when entertaining feline companions.
Furthermore, the library tab has been rebranded as “You.” This revamped tab offers more comprehensive content, including access to previously viewed videos, playlists, downloads, and purchases, all in one convenient location. This change applies to both the web and mobile versions of the app.
Most of the remaining updates involve design changes. Creators now have on-screen prompts encouraging you to subscribe, accompanied by charming sparkles when you “like” their content. Additionally, a new animation tracks the view and like counts over a video’s first 24 hours. These design elements extend to the smart TV application, featuring a fresh vertical menu, video chapters, a scrollable description section, and more.
YouTube’s latest update is gradually rolling out and may take a few weeks to reach all users worldwide. The platform also plans to introduce more features in the future, including a YouTube Kids app redesign.
